I charged my iPhone X with my smart battery case last night, and this morning my phone was at 91% and it said the accessory might not supported, then I found out the charging case works with my friend’s phone, and I can’t charge my phone with both case and charger. I have a micro USB with an apple official micro to lightning adapter, and it works, but when i flip the charger to the other side it won’t work, how I can fix it by myself, if it is not possible, how much will it cost to fix it?
Judging that the charger only works one way, you most likely damaged TriStar/Hydra. If it was a particularly cheap micro USB to lightning adapter that’ll do it. Cheap lightning accessories lack the proper surge protection and when there’s a surge of power, it will damage the USB validator chip known as TriStar or Hydra depending on device. This is a repair that can be done, but it’s not something you can DIY. It requires thousands of dollars in special tools and a good level of skill, especially if it’s between the two layers of boards in the X and above. Send it off to iPad Rehab or STS Telecom. They both specialize in board repairs and have youtube channels you can check out. I would back up your data while you can.
