I just replaced an Iphone X battery. Said it wasn’t charging originally. Figured it was a battery issue. Just got an ifixit battery for the iphone X. When I power the phone on it still says it has no charge and gives the image of the cord with the empty battery. Wireless charging doesn’t seem to work either although just breifly tried it. Could this be an issue where the battery isnt connecting to the board correctly? Or did I just happen to get a faulty battery. Please let me know. Thanks

Did you test to see if the problem was the battery, or did you just try replacing it? You may have a problem with the charging port, which will cause the cable to be shown on the screen with the battery icon even if the device is plugged in. However, as the wireless charging is a seperate component that leads into the board and then battery, you should be able to wirelessly charge the device.

If you leave the device on a wireless charger for about an hour and it still isn’t able to turn on, you may be looking at some other electrical faults on the board, or a faulty replacement battery.
