Chosen Solution
So I dropped my iPhone X. it turns on and shortly after the display turns on with the Apple logo, the screen goes black. I have narrowed the problem down to the earpiece, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and flood illuminator as a whole. My question is, has anyone seen this problem before? And is it possible to fix this on my own?
You’re most likely not going to be able to repair it on your own, at least without loosing FaceID functionality. You should be able to order a replacement ear speaker assembly and replace it yourself but the original one is programmed to your specific logic board and can’t be reprogrammed without a special tool and software from Apple.
