Chosen Solution

Hi everyone, I have replaced the screen on my iphone 5, and now it is constantly stuck to “searching”. Even if I remove the sim card, I don’t get a “no sim inserted”, but still a “searching”. I coudn’t push the screen all the way in on the top side as the frame is bent. Could it be that it’s not working because of this (maybe something is not making contact)? Or do I have touched something else? Thanks

Try turning on airplane mode that turn it off again, if you are still having problems make sure your date and time is correct.

Can you fix the problem?

I am having the same problem with my iPhone 5s. Replaced the screen and it is working perfectly except for the “searching…” part. I’m not getting reception and when I prop out the sim card, the phone doesn’t recognize it is out. I get wifi and everything else is working fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also need a solution for this issue

my i5 did the searching issue and i factory resetted my iphone with itunes through DFU mode. After that i got the no sim issue i took out the sim and inserted it back in i went through the activation screen and it worked hope this helps someone out there. (if you dont know what dfu mode it search it on youtube its pretty simple)

i have changed the screen for no reason. i was only looking for another color…………… the same problem for me too/ searching ….. when i bring the old one back to the device/ the problem fixed

RESOLVED! Remove metal plate, disconnect battery flex cable as well as the other flex cable next to it. Then connect both cables back and put metal plate back on. This fixed the “No Signal Error” and rear camera error (rear camera stopped working). This may even fix the Touch ID error after replacing LCD screen and or Touch ID home button, but not 100% sure since i haven’t tested it yet.
