hello seniors, i ve got an iphone 7 whose imei is ok, but no modem firmware is shown in the about menu, and even if i dial *#06# from the dial pad, nothing happens and no imei is shown up on the screen.. i hav tried changing the base band power is from a donor board but the situation remains same.. what shud i do now? plz hlp wbr
Hi, The IMEI number is stored in the NAND and it is just retrieving this - so no real check on the baseband is being performed. With no modem firmware you have a baseband issue. First try a restore (or update to retain data). This might fix your problem if it doesn’t (and you may not be able to activate device - triangle of death) then you will have to reball the baseband CPU. After that you will probably have to do another UPDATE to get everything back to normal.
