Chosen Solution
Hello. I have an iPod 5 that randomly disabled itself for 24 million minutes. My home button does not work. I took it to a person that thought they could fix it but they could not fix it. Any answers would be helpful on how to get this fixed.
If the device is currently logged into an iCloud account that you have he credentials for you, you maybe be able to enter a mode called DFU and access the option to restore the device from the latest backup. Here’s how Hold the power button for 3 seconds Keep it pressed and hold the home key at the same time for rough 7-10 seconds or till the display goes black Release the power key while keeping the home key pressed for another 10 seconds Then plug the device into the pc and launch iTunes. It should pick up the device and say it’s in restore mode. Follow the steps that iTunes guides you through and you should be all set. Let me know your outcome. Good luck
