In April I had tripped on the beach as a wave crashed and it somewhat messed with my Ipod(I dried it in some rice almost right after). It wasn’t until around August I realized it worked, but a few weeks later it mess up. I go to turn it on and it makes these weird colors and goes back to the apple logo. What do I do? How do I fix this?
You likely have salt water corrosion inside your iPod. You would need to open your iPod and clean any corrosion from the motherboard using alcohol (or even better, a professional ultrasonic cleaner) . Replacing the battery is usually a good idea after water damage too. That may be enough to fix it, or if not you will need to inspect the motherboard under a microscope to look for any damaged components.
