Chosen Solution
I have a somewhat unique problem with my iPod Classic 7th Gen that was caused by my own carelessness. For a long time I stored it in my desk drawer, where I unfortunately ALSO stored a bottle of fountain pen ink with a loose cap. It spilled on my iPod Classic and now there’s purple ink inside of the screen! I believe this ink is water soluble. This is a long shot, but would it perhaps be possible to clean it somewhat without opening this notoriously difficult to open device? Any ideas would be much appreciated!
Hello. Unfortunately you are going to have to replace the lcd because there is no way to get the ink out. Hope this helped. Cheers
