my ipod classic 5 gen wont show up on my computer or itunes all it does is charge what can i do? i put it disk mode but then i hook it up but it stays at the check mark
gago1622, have you tried to check the diagnostics and see what it does? I just finished a repair with the same error and it ended up being the logic board. Still, check the individual parts. If you can check the hard drive with a Zif to USB connector and see if that is okay. Also try a new USB cable and check the dock connector for bend,broken, or corroded pins. Check your logic board for corrosion and give it a good cleaning with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. If none of this works, I would suggest a new logic board. Good Luck.
