I opened up my 4th gen iPod to fix a jammed lock/sleep button. I had turned it off before working on it as a safety measure. Now I haven’t been able to turn it on. Even if I connect it to iTunes the screen doesn’t light up.
Hey Kathy, So iPod TG4’s are infamous for being finicky devices, the first thing I would try is to bridge the connection between the metal on the bottom of the charger port to the positive battery terminal. Often times this will bring them back to life. If that does not work let me know and I would be happy to help you further! PS make sure you scrape off the covering over the solder connection on the battery terminal
