My daughter has an iPod Touch 6 gen. Her sister tried getting into the phone and has disabled it. We have learned her pictures are not saved in iCloud so a reset is not an option. Her dad passed away recently and she has photos in there of them together. She knows the password is there any Options out there so she can keep her data. My husband was in the military and recently passed she had videos and pictures of them on their. We didn’t think much about it because we thought it was on the iCloud but we learned she didn’t have the iCloud on for the photos to be saved. It’s just heart breaking for her.

If you are seeing “iPod is Disabled, Connect to iTunes” then unfortunately the device has been locked and the only way to restore the device is through a restore to an iTunes or iCloud Backup. iCloud Photos may not have been turned on but there may been an iCloud backup taken at some point. Check on iCloud.com for any backups. You maybe able to restore from that.

Give 3U tools a shot I haven’t tried it but here’s the tutorial. http://www.3u.com/tutorial/articles/180/
