Ipod Refuses To Charge Or Sync Over Usb Only Charges With Firewire Ipod 5Th Generation Video

My 5th generation iPod, 30gb, that I acquired in an eBay lot (yay), turns on, boots, works, and holds a GREAT charge. The big problem with it is that it refuses to charge or sync over USB, making it completely useless since it only charges (won’t sync) with FireWire. Even if it did sync, I don’t have the adapters necessary for turning FireWire into USB-C. Please help! Again, it works beautifully. No problems other than it refusing to see a USB signal.

@highstake17 since it does charge with Firewire the issue appears to be the 30 pin dock connector. PITA to replace it one these boards. Check on here for the pinout and use a meter to check your board to see if you are making contact.
