After replacing the battery in my ipod 5th generation 60gb my ipod was not coming off hold. I bought a replacement hold switch on eBay and after replacing this the ipod is still stuck on hold. Could this be the logic board?

Hugo, the way I would proceed is by checking the flex first. Make sure it is properly seated and locked. Then check the switch on the flex itself, check to make sure that the switch is properly engaged between the two tabs of the slider. You can recheck this by keeping your iPod open while you try it out. If that still wont work, I would definitely try one more flex cable before replacing anything else. Hugo, if you place the iPod on Hold, and then disconnect the flex cable, the iPod will remain on Hold. Hope this helps, good luck.

Check the wires that connect the hold switch to the logic board. If nothings wrong with the wires check the pins on the logic board. If this fails replace the logic board.
