I need your help, guys. My ipod touch 5th generation is stuck on logo. My home button doesn’t work. What will I do? Itunes on computer can’t read my ipod…
When a device is stuck on the Apple logo, the software is lost and doesn’t know here to go. You need to put the device in recovery mode or DFU mode to successfully restore. Of course, you would need the home button to do so. A repair is a must for this device. Depending how the home button is damaged, depends on how difficult the repair is. If it doesn’t click and appears stuck down, then the screen needs to be taken off and the black party of the home button clicked can be replaced without any soldering. If the button doesn’t click but doesn’t respond, then you have to take the device part and solder in a new home button flex cable which is not very easy. You can then put the device in recovery mode or DFU mode and perform a full restore to go back to normal.
