My iPod was working fine a while ago, while I was out of town. I didn’t bring my charger, so it died, but it was working fine. Then, when I got back and tried to charge it, it wouldn’t charge and showed that I needed to plug it into my computer and connect to the iTunes store, which I did. iTunes said that I could either update it or restore it to its factory settings. First I tried to update it but it said that the iPod couldn’t be updated so I tried to restore it. I left it alone for a while on the screen with the apple icon and loading bar but it didn’t do anything and all iTunes said is waiting for iPod.

Do a hard reset Take switch on top turn on,off,on Press and hole menu and home buttons for aprox 10 seconds the Apple logo should come on Release all buttons and restart It should be reset at this point
