Is Having Two Drives Possible Through A Splitter Cable Imac Intel 27 Emc 2639

I’d like to know if it’s possible keep the Hard Drive and add an SSD in an iMac through the splitter cable, my worry is that the splitter wouldn’t be compatible with the heat sensor.
