Yes, I know it might say Sony BDP-S3700 but the one that I have is Sony BDP-S1700 and it reads the DVD discs fine and without any problems but it just makes awful somewhat silent clicking noise while playing. I don’t have any Blu-Rays and I use the player to watch burned DVD’s. The DVDs are fine no scratches nor dusts and they’re brand new. Also the player is pretty new. I bought it on September 30, 2022. But is it normal for this specific player or any other Sony Blu-ray player to make awful but silent clicking/buzzing noise.
@playerproblems it definitely should not make that type of sound. Try a commercial DVD instead of a burned one, and see if that makes a difference. If it does, then you know the issue will be related to the media and not the BR Player. Anything after that, I would return under warranty. You said you got it on September 30, 2022 ,there is no reason for it not to work properly
