Home owners’ insurance wants to know if our leak was due to normal wear and tear or a failure. The line to the water dispenser leaked and a small hole was found in it upon inspection. It was a slow leak behind the fridge and under the tile floor doing a lot of damage. Fridge is a 4 yr old LG with bottom freezer.
@njfogle really not an easy question to answer on here. It all would depend on your water supply and if you are using a filter etc. 4 years seems a bit early for a wear and tear situation but again, that will depend on what your circumstances are. Personally I’d consult with a local plumber etc. to find out more about it.
