Most people seem to not have any issues with not having the spring contact in there, and if your device seems to work fine without it, then it shouldn’t be a long term issue. If it was going to cause any major issues you would likely know almost immediately when trying to use the device or the home button. Keep in mind though that if it does start to act funny in the future(ghost touching/clicking of home button) then this will almost definitely be the reason why.
