I recently got a new macbook with an m1 pro chip in it, but my cat decided to drop a thing on it, while it was open. is it possible to swap the screen and to repair the chassis of this device?
@notpauca - A typical mattress is soft so I just can’t see it damaging anything. Given the size of your cat: 10kg/20lbs or a bit heavier, as an example: (Maine Coon Cat). I could see it jumping on your system along the hinge area distorting the metal frame. Given your systems age I would visit an Apple Store just telling them the hinge is stiff if that’s all thats wrong.
