My trackpad isn’t working at all - I’ve fiddled with all the settings etc, but no joy. I’m wondering can I at least take the batteries out (like in the earlier models with the iOpener) to check the zif connector, and hopefully, if necessary, to replace the trackpad…
Yes you can change the trackpad but you have to get the battery’s out and that is no fun task, (or to put them back) the best way is to get something to remove the glue under the battery’s, heat won’t do anything to the glue as the battery’s are to thick… You may find this video useful; https://youtu.be/pLhHSIej9fs
