I was working on my Macbook Pro and suddenly, a bunch of lines appeared on the screen. After multiple reboots, the problem still persists. After leaving the laptop alone for a few days, it started working fine again, but the issue has returned. I can plug in an external monitor and use my laptop, so its not a gpu issue. Plus, the display works sometimes, so the screen isn’t broken. I want to make sure that it’s just a loose/stressed display connector I need to deal with, and if there is already a guide on that. Thank you!
Sounds like the display cable is on it’s way out. It is replaceable on the A1502s which consists of removing the screen, unhooking the plastic hinge cover then unplugging the screen cable from the screen side. There doesn’t seem a guide specifically on replacing the display cable but I would wait for other opinions on what the problem may be as it may not always be the display cable.
