Not sure what you mean? Did you take off the digitizer of after or before the problem. If it broke right after its possible that you forgot to disconnect the battery which can fry it. Also you might have not put the ribbon back properly. If it was broken before then it must have fell or got hit and that broke it. For all these the digitizer will have to be replaced.
