Hi there Kelsey! With water damage nothing can be for sure.. before going and order a screen Id ask my local repairshop if they can try one of their screens on your phone first, so that you would not go to the trouble buying a screen which later turns out to be useless.. From my understanding, since its only your screen affected by the water, it should not be an issue to get your phone up and running again. If you decide to purchase a screen make sure its the whole assembly and not just glass or LCD.
