I need to replace the lcd screen of my apple cinema display 24, the imac 2008 model comes with the same display but slightly different model number, is this display compatible?
Here’s the proper LCD panel for your system 24" Alu LED Cinema Display LCD Panel, Apple P/N’s 661-4822; and the raw panel ID: LM240WU6(SD)(A1) And here’s the iMac versions: 2007/08 24” iMac Alu LCD, Apple P/Ns 661-4431 & 661-4685; and the raw panel ID: LM240WU2(SL)(B1) or (SL)(B2),(SL)(B3)2009 24” iMac Alu LCD, Apple P/N 661-4989; and the raw panel ID: LM240WU2(SL)(B4) What you don’t see is the differences in the cable connections (options) which is the code SD and SL. So while the panel is the same you would need to refit the cables over which is not easy! Given the price is the same for what you can get presently I would just get the correct part.
