Chosen Solution
I cracked the backpanel on my Xperia z5 today. I looked up how to replace it, and as long as I can see it looks quite easy to do yourself. But I’m worried that the phone might not be waterproof after the replace.
They are not waterproof. they are waterresistant. If you replace the back cover you can not be 100% sure its tight and secure so no it wont be waterresistant. on the other hand its not waterresistant when the back cover is cracked either.
