Dear iFixit, I am in the proces of buying a new computer. But I am wondering whether or not it is possible to user-replace the MacBook Air 2017’s PCIe-SSD, or if it is soldered to the motherboard. I hope you can help me. Kind regards, Yousif
The RAM is not upgradable. The SSD is upgradable at time of purchase. At this time no one that I’m aware of makes a compatible replacement SSD. This is not to say that it may not occur in the future. Here’s the skinny on these options: https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/macbo…
