Is The Touch Screen The Same As The Older Model Nintendo 3Ds Xl 2015

So my NEW 3DS XL just fell on the ground and cracked the touch screen. I do have my older 3DS XL, but before canibalizing it, is the older screen the same as the new model?

I believe the touch screen is different as zif cables are in different places.
