Tv fallen over tonight. Now it dhows vertical and horizontal lines when you turn it on. Is their a way to fix it. It is a TCL Roku TV. On the back of the TV it says Intertek 3092540.
Hi, Coloured vertical lines may be caused by problems with the tcon board or perhaps the vertical driver boards which connect to the screen. Black vertical lines could be a faulty tcon or loose (broken?) tab connections to the display panel Unfortunately horizontal lines are a panel problem and can only be fixed by replacing the panel. Then the problem is to source a replacement panel as they are usually not readily available and sometimes can cost nearly half as much as a new TV. You could either try to find one by searching for the (insert make and model number of TV) screen or disconnect the power from the TV and remove the back cover and try to find the make and model number of the screen. Once you have this, search online for (insert make and model number of screen) to hopefully find suppliers. Another option to consider is to advertise the TV as faulty screen- good for parts to try and recoup some of the cost towards a new TV. There is always a demand for working boards from a TV
