Is there a guide on how to replace the waterproof adhesive? Can someone tell me what I need todo/how to replace it? Thanks. I couldn’t find a guide anywhere.
Do not rely on waterproof feature once you’ve repaired iPhone 7 yourself other than exteremely simple repairs like batteries, main cameras. Any external-facing components like the screen, charge port, microphones need to be individually sealed after repair, requiring different adhesive seal parts, assembly and test procedures. Replacing the main adhesive gasket alone is not enough. As for the main gasket replacement itself, it’s just clean the old gunk off completely, stick it onto the new case, then close the screen and press firmly. Testing it requires special fixtures.
