Chosen Solution
I’ve been a Mac user for a while, but always the desktops. I needed something portable this time, so I decided to go with the MBP. However I noticed the device does overheat in boot camp very often, and was wondering if there was any way to clean the fans to preserve the unit for as long as possible.
I’ve gone in to the Apple store a few times and asked nicely, and they’ve opened my MacBook Pro up and blew out the dust. I use a Silicone riser strip to elevate the back (hinge) edge of my MacBook Pro so it gets more airflow underneath. a couple of these: http://siladyne.com/Laptop-Tablet-I-Pad-… might help as well.
