The recording quality is nice, I do it through jacks from my pc to the mic input, but the on board mic also works during the process so it picks up every little sound in the room. Is there any way I can completely disable the on board micophone? Or any efficient way to cover it up? Let me know! (okay this is really interesting, I read the manual, says the built in mic is automatically disabled when I record from the mic input, but nope, I wish it were like that.)
The external mic socket has a switch within it. While this one is a more complex version being stereo it should help explain
You’ll need to open the unit up to gain access to the back side to check the contact surfaces are properly aligned and clean.
Shove some Blu Tac over the hole of the input Mic…and Good Luck!
