Hi, I recently bought mini DisplayPort to HDMI, DVI and VGA adapter. The problem is with my Mac, when I connect a VGA cable to this adapter I’m getting a picture on external monitor. But, when using DVI cable I don’t get a picture, or picture shows for a few sec and then on external display I see like white noise (this depends on the monitor, tried with 2 DELL monitors 23” and 24”). Also, I tried the adapter on my Mac Mini and everything works fine, no issues with DVI port. I did not use HDMI port since my displays does not support it, They only offer DisplayPort, DVI and VGA. Does anybody have an idea what could be a problem or how to solve it? Thanks, Svarog
Frankly I’ve never seen a adapter that cheap. You are lucky it works with the VGA. I wouldn’t expect much more from something this cheap.
