Hello! I’ve searched for this problem in past posts but I didn’t see it, I hope it hasn’t been mentioned already! Today, with the help of a friend, I replaced my failing seagate 500GB hard drive with a 2TB barracuda seagate hard drive. I followed the tutorial on this website to a tee. (I even wore rubber gloves to avoid finger prints lol.) Anyway, after I installed the drive and put the computer back together, and started to install mac OS, there was green gittery pixels all over the screen. At first I thought I had some how damaged the LCD but then when OS was done installing and going through the intro sequance movie, I see that alot of the screen was coming up green and the gittery pixels were moving all around. I’m assuming (and hoping) this is a video issue caused by an improperly seated cable from the LCD screen. I wasn’t sure I had it all the way in as it was hard to see with the poor lighting I was using. Has anyone encountered this issue before? If so, what was the problem/soloution? Should I just take it apart again and re seat the cables? Please educate me!!! :)

If it was working before you replaced the drive I would certainly go back over everything I touched and make sure its correct. Give that cable special attention. Good luck.
