hi guys, I have a 2011 MacBook and here’s the full config of the port… Thunderbolt Bus:   Vendor Name: Apple Inc.  Device Name: MacBook Pro  UID: 0x0001000A1BBAC1E0  Route String: 0  Firmware Version: 22.1  Domain UUID: 9C79FF0F-ED63-FC51-8B0D-C1E08DB9C206  Port:  Status: No device connected  Link Status: 0x101  Speed: Up to 10 Gb/s x2  Receptacle: 1  Port Micro Firmware Version: 2.1.3 Do you have any suggestions how to make this work to connect to my Samsung TV via HDMI. thanks

Hi ruchirj33, Thunderbolt is not the same as Mini Display Port. They are only co-sharing the same port on your computer. If you want to connect a TV via HDMI then what you need would just be a Mini Display Port to HDMI adapter. However, if your TV has a high resolution like UHD, then this may not be supported by your system. But: Since your problem is not Thunderbolt related, I would recommend you give us more information about your TV.
