Hi everyone. My name is Przemek. This is my first post on this froum so i apologize for my weak english. Let’s get to the point. I have to look at the Prestigio PER5574BC. The tablet does not turn on or charge the battery. When I open the case, I noticed a few spots covered with something sticky. On the question of flooding the owner stated that he knows nothing about this but with 3 small nasties at home everything is possible. He did not use this equipment for a long time, and as he now wanted to run it did not work out. For my part, I have funded the mainboard with a long bath in spirits and brush cleaning followed by long and thorough drying. I also made such measurements: - voltage on the charging socket = 5V - voltage on the battery connector = 0V - the current drawn with and without the battery = 0mA - AXP209 (power system management IC) with power supply without battery:
- AXP209 (power system management IC) with connected battery without power:
Can someone help me get started on this tablet?
@bpjl could just be my old eyes but it sure looks like you got some damage on the traces. If you have the schematics for this you could see what those traces are being used for.
Update (10/07/2017) If all the damage has been cleaned and inspected, you do want to start with a new battery. If nothing else, it will provide you with a known-good point should further testing be necessary.
I did this picture before cleaning the mainboard. Now this area is clean. As for the schematics associated with this device I got something like this: T720_SCH_V1INET-86VS-REV01 : 01 COVERAXP209_Datasheet_v1.0en.pdfAPP3_PAD_DDR3_V1_20pad_a13_std_v1_24A20-Datasheet.pdfa13-sch.pdfAPP3_PAD_DDR3.pdf
Hey there, the problem is depending on how long he has used it, if he hasn’t used it for months or even a year his Battery can fall asleep. This is a Safety feature of the lithium battery unfortunately and no charger will charge it when it’s asleep and at 0 volts , looks like this person needs a new battery put in. Good Luck =D
Thank you for your answer. I read about sleep mode but when I measured the voltage of this battery it yields 4.1V. So I think the battery works
