I have moved the home base to a completely open area thinking this would solve the problem but it didnt. It just never returns home automatically
Wipe down the charging contacts on the Home Base and on Roomba with a clean, lightly dampened melamine foam such as. Press and hold the CLEAN button for 3 seconds to clear your previous cleaning job. Verify Roombacan return to its Home Base by manually facing Roomba, within 6 ft (1.8 m), toward the Home Base.
