Chosen Solution
I have a samsung tv with the glass screen 50 inch an once in a while it will come up with about a 2 inch line straight down thru the middle then goes away an also has some red I the right side of the screen is this fixable or is their a simple solution to make all this go away to have a crystal clear view of my tv ??
@Greg Glover , When you say “….has a black line straight across the screen very thin….” just verifying that you mean a horizontal black line? If so, this is a panel fault and cannot be repaired. The panel needs to be replaced. The 2" vertical black line could be a TAB fault or a tcon fault. The red line, if it is vertical, could also be a tcon problem Since it appears to be intermittent you could try the solutions to fix TAB faults as described above. If that doesn’t work replace the tcon and check.
