I got this iPhone by trading my Android phone from a friend. When I’m about to connect this phone to my WiFi, It can’t detect my WiFi although it can detect my neighbor’s WiFi (which is across the street). I made sure that my router isn’t set to hidden. My friend said that it can detect 5GHz WiFi better than 2.4GHz. So what I did was put the phone very close to the router and it did detect. I replaced the antennas that I suspect to be faulty (the antenna located in the upper left corner and the one under the motherboard which has a wavy ribbon design). After replacing, it did not do anything. I wanted to know what antenna should I replace for the 2.4GHz WiFi. I believe that it’s not the WiFI IC because I can connect to a 5GHz WiFi without any problems and also 2.4GHZ WiFis but with weak reception.
It’s likely a shorted resistor. This video is for the 6 but the 6 Plus is very similar. I had a 6 Plus with exactly what you’re describing and replacing the resistor (my first microsolder repair!) fixed it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AJK4mIF…
