My speaker will not turn on when Plugged in and red light don’t turn on either .what can I do to repair ,instead of throwing it away

Hi @lettie016, Have you tried a different known working, compatible charger or charger cable connected to a computer to see if the speaker shows that it is charging? If so, use a strong light and a magnifying glass and visually inspect the speaker’s charge port and look for any signs of damage to the pins or even if the port enclosure may be clogged with lint etc, which may be preventing a good electrical connection. If there is any debris in the port enclosure then do not use a pin or metal probe to try and remove it. Try using a vacuum cleaner and see if it can be sucked out. If still no good, try using a sharpened wooden toothpick to gently prise it out. If the port enclosure seems OK the speaker will have to be opened and the problem further investigated. For example it may be a loose micro USB connector on the motherboard and all that needs to be done is that it has to be soldered back on again. I couldn’t find a teardown video for the speaker online that shows how to open the speaker, but I did find this document that shows some internal photos of the device that might help. The image below is taken from the document and I’ve highlighted the charge port. Hopefully this is of some help.
