My pc does not recognize my j7 prime, l tried different usb cables, computers, l got the same results. could it be that the usb port on j7 is faulty ? by the way, the charger works just fine using different usb cables.
@kevin49 if your setting on your phone and your computer have not changed it should be recognized. IF it does not then I would suspect this to be an error of the port. Yes, it may still charge since that is all part of a different circuit. Disassemble your phone and take a look at the connector. You can uses a multi-meter to measure for continuity from the cable to where the connector connects to the board.
