Hello! I recently wanted to get into repairing phones as a hobby because of the corona. I got a could of Iphone 3g’s and some ipod touches that get stuck on the apple logo. When i try and restore them via itunes I get error 40 on all of them. I purchased them for dirt cheap but wasn’t told they were jailbroken until i found out by using ireb. Are they still fixable?
When you have a jailbroken iphone you can’t restore them, this result in a error. The correct way to do when it is jailbrokenis , you put the iphone in DFU mode and then connect to itunes for restore.
