Having replaced my screen there are faint white vertical bands on the display. I can live with that, but text and menus jump about; the touch screen function stops working too. Is it motherboard or screen problem? the problem seems intermittent, so immediately after replacing the screen, no problem, but wait 5 minutes and the faults appear. Thanks.
It looks like a defect screen, especially due to the vertical lines. In most cases if the board really was damaged the touch or screen isn’t working completely, but not sporadically only. This sounds more like a typical issue of a bad manufactured and cheap replacement screen. Try to reseat the cable, double-check if they are sitting correctly and try again. If it is still failing you should return it as defect and ask for a new one.
