All the sudden my trackpad has become jumpy. Every 3-4 taps, the device is slow (1/2 sec or so) to track my finger. I rebooted my mac twice but the problem persists. The I tried plugging the trackpad directly using the lightning-USB cable and the problem goes away. My guess is the problem is related to the Bluetooth driver. My Mac is a 2019, bought in January. I don’t know if this is related but after I reboot, I’m presented with a dialog “HPDriverCore.framework will damage your computer” I click on “Remove” and “report to apple” but the dialog continues to appear each time I reboot. This started appearing in the last 2 weeks. Update (11/06/2020) I’m on the latest macOS release. By apple’s support recommendation, I installed malware bytes, this got rid of the dialog. It turns out this wasn’t related to my trackpad issue. They also had me test the trackpad with a different computer. For this, I had to turn it off and on to pair it. The trackpad worked fine on the other computer. But when I paired it back to my iMac it worked fine all the sudden. The apple technician thinks that switching the trackpad off is what fixed the problem.
“HPDriverCore.framework will damage your computer” sounds like a HP Printer driver. You’ll need to uninstall the drivers or locate newer version for your printer. You are likely running Mojave or Catalina which will balking due to either the API call was retired it was using or was 32bit which is no longer supported.
