Hi, I just replaced the battery to my iPad Air 2 and I followed all the steps but now I’m at the stage of putting the screen back on with adhesive and so I went to check if was working and it doesn’t charge. It’s weird what it will do. But if I do a hard reset and then plug it in right away it will charge but only for a few seconds. It also makes really high pitched noise when it is charging for those few seconds. Can someone please help. I need to this iPad to work soon.

The noise is an odd problem. Others will probably have a better idea on that. Did you try another battery yet? Did you try the original again(if it even still works)? What lead you to replace the battery in the first place? Was it also having issues charging? Did you possibly knock off any components next to the battery connector? I don’t think this would cause a high frequency noise though. I assume you’ve tried another charger right? Id say that trying another battery is the first step. It could be a bad battery. The batteries also have circuits built in that talk with the iPad logic board(battery data). It’s also possible this is a problem. Again, others would probably know more about the noise.
