I cannot get myJVC 39’ emerald series HDTV off of a “menu language” page after last night. The original remote is gone and the universal remote will not control the TV (i.e. “Ok” on the remote won’t actually click “ok” on the tv, therefore I am stuck on the screen). The only actual button on the aTV itself is the power/input select button. Even after unplugging, leaving it off for hours and turning it back on, it will not reset and constantly reboots to this same screen. I’ve tried reconnecting the universal remote but none of the JVC codes seem to work for this (I’ve tried them all) NEED HELP!!!!
Hi @jehducifkd , I realize that you tried to reset the TV by leaving it unplugged but try it again this way to see if it does reset back to default. Switch off the TV if On. Switch off the wall outlet (if it has an On/Off switch) and unplug the TV power cord from the wall outlet. Press and hold the TV’s Power On/Off button for 30 seconds and release the button. Plug in the power cord to the wall outlet and switch on the wall outlet (if it has an On/Off switch) Turn on the TV and check what happens. If it turns on OK etc it may be easier to get a new remote -supplier example only and check if it can control the TV and get it working properly again. There are other suppliers online that may suit you better. Just search for JVC EM39T remote to get results.
