Will the preinstalled screen protector on my S10e keep the screen from cracking if dropped? Should I replace it with glass? I have never gone without a glass protector, I am on residential jobsites and the phone gets dropped occasionally. Not excited to use the frequently discussed Whitestone Dome Glass!!
Any drop from the right angle and height can crack a screen no matter the screen protector type. The factory protector is designed more for pocket lint (quartz), purse placement, etc. I just came here as I’m needing a front screen replacement for my father in laws phone, not sure of the details of the drop, but it looks like it hit front down on rocks as its gouged and cracked. But it didn’t spider web. I feel that is because of the screen protector absorbing the impact, but the rock pierced it still.
