washer fills up wth water but won’t start washing the clothes.. i unplugged machine from power source and left unplugged for a while . when i plugged machine back into power source and then turned machine on at stopped cycle ,machine would finish wash cyle. i changed the starter unit and it worked fine for two days. washer then would stop working at diferent cycles. i would turn off washer and unplug washer from power source. i would leave washer unplugged for a while and then plug it into power source. i then pulled the on knob at the stopped cycle and the machine would cycle thru. i bypassed the lid switch and the machine cycled thru to the last rinse cycle before stopping. i unplugged the machine, waited for awhile, then plugged the machione back into power source. i pulled the on knob and the machine cycled thru. i checked the voltage from power source and it was at 120 volts. pleeeeaase help with this mystery !!!!!!!
Timer The timer might be defective. The timer is frequently misdiagnosed—before replacing the timer, first check all of the more commonly defective parts. To determine if the timer is defective, consult your washer’s wiring diagram and use a multimeter to test the timer for continuity. https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/… Lid Switch Assembly The lid switch assembly prevents the washer from spinning when the lid is open. If the lid switch assembly fails, the washer may stop mid-cycle. To determine if the lid switch assembly is defective, use a multimeter to test each of the lid switches for continuity. If a lid switch does not have continuity, replace it. Water Inlet Valve During the rinse cycle, the water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the wash tub. If the water inlet valve fails, the washer will continue waiting for the water to enter the washer, causing it to stop mid-cycle. To determine if the water inlet valve is defective, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the water inlet valve does not have continuity, replace it.
