My Kenmore Elite 796 top loading washer does not complete the first wash cycle. I opened the back panel and watched the washer fill, agitate, drain and spin. It drains quickly. The spin was slow. The digital timer display stopped at 22 min and did not count down any further. The machine continued trying to drain an empty tub and spin slowly. This went on for 5 min or so then I got the DR code. I then got the OE code. Model # 79629002000. Any help appreciated.
Hi, If the washer pumps but doesn’t spin or spin properly the rotor position sensor may have a loose connection or is faulty See tub assembly parts diagram -part #K351 for the location of the sensor.
