Kenmore Elite HE4 showing PF error code
PF is power failure error meaning electricity has been interrupted to the machine. An electrical interruption of any type can cause a PF error code. Try this: Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the PF in the display. Try to start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button. Reset the breaker box and make sure the machine is securely plunged in.
My power went out and kenmore dryer displayed the PF code and dryer just kept beeping but nothing worked.Pushing buttons at random didn’t work,But I just left it plugged in and beeping for 30 minutes to my surprise the beeping stopped I pushed the cancel button and then pushed jeans and pressed start after awhile it worked but to my surprise the beeping started again.I left it beeping for another 30 minutes and to my surprise again it stopped beeping I pressed cancel then normal dry and pressed start and it’s been working since.Ive been told it needs a new board multiple times but yet the dryer is working with no problem to this day.Fornately I have another dryer so I could take the time to figure it out.Another problem I had in the past was the controls were all locked I held down the auto dry level and temperture buttons at the same time for 30 seconds then while still holding the two buttons I pressed the start button this cleared the locked buttons.
